Zachary Vest, MD, is a fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist who joined Mile High Eye Institute in 2014.
Dr. Vest specializes in the medical and surgical management of glaucoma as well as advanced cataract surgery techniques. Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Vest earned a degree in biomedical engineering at Texas A&M University before attending the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas for his medical school, ophthalmology residency, and glaucoma fellowship.
Dr. Vest strives to provide exceptional, cutting edge, personalized care to his glaucoma and cataract patients. He has twice been named a 5280 Top Doctor and is faculty member of the Interventional Glaucoma Consortium, an international think tank of glaucoma specialists focused on advancing glaucoma treatment and management. He serves as an ambassador for the Glaucoma Research Foundation, a non-profit organization, focused on patient education and striving to find a cure for glaucoma.
Dr Vest also has an interest in clinical research and oversees the research department for Mile High Eye Institute.
Outside of the office, Dr. Vest and his family spend much of their free time enjoying the outdoors by hiking, camping as well as tending to their garden, bee hives and fruit trees. He also enjoys testing his hand at Texas style BBQ.
